The Cheese Factory "Alpe del garda"
For those who want to take a 30-minute walk, we recommend visiting Alpe del Garda. But it would be better with the bike and a backpack or with the car and space in the trunk. In addition to its own cheese production, Alpe del Garda has a supermarket with numerous Italian specialties and a good restaurant with a playground for the little ones.
The well-known Tremosine cheese is just one of the many types of cheese on offer. Wine, schnapps, ham, sausage, dried mushrooms, pickled vegetables and much more tempt you to buy a lot there.
Bathing fun in the
"La Berna"
Less than 10 minutes walk away is the Hotel "La Berna" with its spacious pool. A fantastic view of the mountains from the water or from the pool bar, fun for young and old.
A daily rate is available at reception.

Dinner at
"La fenice"
Congratulations, you have decided on Vesio, have rented an apartment or house there and want to leave the car at home today.
Maybe you are lucky and get a table at "La Fenice" without a reservation. We usually recommend calling a day or two in advance because not only are there tourists here enjoying the good food, you also hear a lot of Italian and also see the familiarity of the local guests with the waiters or the chef.
Definitely a tip from us for THE restaurant in Vesio to spend a nice evening, a good glass of wine, a fantastic view of Lake Garda, delicious food selected from an extensive menu and much more. Try the grappa and then feel free to ask for the long bottle ;-) Have fun at "La Fenice"
mountain biking
Val di Bondo - Monte Tremalzo - Val di San Michele

Less than 10 minutes walk from Casa Black / Casa Amici is the hikers car park for Val di Bondo.
From here you can go on foot or by mountain bike or by car into the valley, along meadows and small rusticos you reach a picnic area that is often used to have a barbecue, to meet several people or simply to enjoy nature .
If you continue looking uphill along the creek, you will find an even more shady picnic area in the forest and by the water.
The asphalt road leads to the Refugio Passo Nota, from which various paths branch off. But before we continue to Monte Tremalzo, the Refugio Alpini (Perdercini) should be mentioned here. A very special place and my personal tip for the area around Vesio. A conversation with Bruno, the current landlord, is always worthwhile, he speaks several languages. The grilled cheese is sensational and a nice tip benefits the children in South America.
The trail to the top of the mountain Tremalzo is for well trained people only. If you are still setting off without an e-bike, you deserve our respect. After a refreshment at Bruno or in the Rifugio Passo Nota, it continous now always uphill (at the shrine on the left, the Moser Bike Guide would probably say that) countless switchbacks lead up the gravel path to the summit of Monte Tremalzo. Past rock formations, enjoying the view, you finally come to the tunnel that leads into the Val di San Michele or along the border between Lombardy and Trentino-South Tyrol back to Vesio.
Before that there is the possibility to stop at Malga Ciapa, Refugio Garda, Ristorante Da Richetto Di Carloni, or Refugio Garibaldi.
From the Refugio Garibaldi the trail leads downhill. Now you are happy about every millimeter of suspension fork or the bike that weighs more uphill than you think.
A small branch back to Vesio takes you to Malga Cà dellÉra, where their own cheese is produced, just like in the old days. There are drinks too.
If you want to go further, go to the Val di San Michele and from there you can get to the Alpe del Garda. Before that, you are welcome to visit the "Centro Visitatori per la Flora e la Fauna" and say hello to the cows.
